The Purple Edge was set up in 2007 by Sharon Wilding, a highly qualified marketing professional.  She is a Chartered Marketer, has an MSc in Marketing, and more than 20 years experience at BT, an organisation with a worldwide reputation for excellent marketing. Sharon is based in Canterbury and has earned a reputation for getting the most out of her time - as well as running her business she is kept on her toes by her husband, four demanding sons, one soppy dog and 8 friendly chickens.

As Head of Department at BT Sharon lead teams working in product development and launch, through in-life P&L and the management of marketing communications, working with business customers ranging from Soho, through SME to Global Multinationals to deliver outstanding results.  As Head of ICT propositions Sharon lead a project that brought £78m of new business for ICT managed solutions by focusing on building relationships with a neglected base of UK medium-sized customers.  Additionally, Sharon and her team delivered a 50% revenue growth over 2 consecutive years by developing propositions based on Cisco solutions targeted at and promoted to SME customers.  From 2005-2007 she was Chair of the BT Women's Network, driving for greater recognition and success for talented women.
